My name is Robert Larochelle, I live in a suburb of Montreal, province of Quebec, Canada. I have been breeding canaries for 20 years. Since 1987 I have bred Gloster Fancy canaries exclusively. All my birds are descended from 7 of the 10 pairs that I acquired in 1987 from Michael Kennedy of England. I am grateful to Michael for providing me at the time with sound birds of good type and feather quality, free of congenital defects, which allowed me to elaborate a program of selective linebreeding for all these years of continuous improvement. I have the honour of being accredited as panel judge of type canaries both in Canada and the USA. I usually have some quality birds available from October each year. I only sell overstock that I would consider using in my own breeding program. I can produce a full pedigree for each and every bird raised here. I believe in breeding all the colors available in the Gloster Fancy, as this is the best way to attract new enthusiasts to the hobby and therefore insure the promotion of the breed and the survival of the specialty clubs.
